Units, in plain english

MG and MCG are how much compound there is. A milligram (mg) is 1,000 micrograms (mcg) — so 5mg is 5,000mcg. Same stuff, smaller number.

IU is used instead of mg for growth hormone, hCG and HMG, because those are measured by how much they DO, not what they weigh. There is no universal mg-per-IU, so never convert between them.

ML is how much liquid is in the syringe. That is the bacteriostatic water you added — it changes how concentrated the vial is, never how much compound is in it.

UNITS are the numbers printed on the barrel. They are a measure of liquid, not compound, and how many fit in 1ml depends on the syringe you bought:

U-1001 ML = 100 units

U-501 ML = 50 units

U-401 ML = 40 units

Check the barrel before you draw. The same dose is a different number of units on each of those three, and getting it wrong is the easiest mistake to make.
